Recently Completed Capital Projects

The Suites (2006)
The Suites is Otterbein's newest residence hall housing 168 upperclass men and women, six Resident Assistants and one Hall Director. The Suites features single rooms with their own baths and double rooms which connect to another double room via a bathroom. The $9 million structure is part of Otterbein's plans to accommodate its growing student base due to record enrollment.

Cowan Hall (2005)
Otterbein's renowned Department of Theatre and Dance has a new performance space worthy of its reputation for excellence. Cowan Hall received a $1.4 million facelift that includes structural changes to vastly improve acoustics, new seats on both the main floor and the balcony, and aesthetic improvements throughout. The renovated lobby has been named for department founder Chuck Dodrill. The theatre is to be named for the Fritsche family, Ernie '38, Neva, and Nevalyn Fritsche Nevil '71, lead donors to the campaign. (Seats are still available for naming - please call the Development office at 614-823-1400 for more information.) Click here to see the finished project.

Otter Bean Café (2005)
Refreshments are now available to students diligently studying in the Courtright Memorial Library. The Otter Bean Café is located at the main entrance to the library. Enclosing part of the building's first floor overhang included in the original library design also created space for three new classrooms.

Memorial Stadium (2005)
Constructed exactly where the old stadium stood, the new Memorial Stadium was dedicated in a ceremony September 17, 2005. The "O" Club spearheaded the fund drive to provide a new facility that again honors the many Otterbein veterans who sacrificed so much for all of us.
