OTTERBEIN COLLEGE THEATRE PUTS A FUTURISTIC SPIN ON JULIUS CAESAR

Civilization is primitive in 4000 A.D. as it was only re-created a few years before by a handful of survivors after Earth's latest apocalypse. The gender rules have changed - and the people of this new world are at once passionate, vicious, sensual, and primal. The fight between democracy and tyranny is at its peak.

This is the premise for Otterbein College Theatre's non-traditional production of one of the earliest of Shakespeare's Roman plays, Julius Caesar. The production will run Nov. 6-8 and 14-15 in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville.

Tickets are $15 each and can be reserved by calling the Otterbein College box office at (614) 823-1109. The box office is open 1-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. The box office is located in Cowan Hall, 30 S Grove St., Westerville.

The opening night performance on Thursday, Nov. 6, begins at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by a reception. All other performances begin at 8 p.m.

Not all material in this production will be suitable for children. This production is not recommended for children younger than high school age.
