In the 2009 edition of U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges," Otterbein College earned the ninth highest peer assessment (academic reputation) score in the Universities-Master's (Midwest) category and earned the 15th highest overall score among its 140 peers. Full story.

The Otterbein College DNP Program provides the opportunity for advanced practice nurses to become the most highly educated and qualified practitioners in their field. We are now accepting applications for our first DNP classes to begin in Fall 2008. Priority admission deadline is July 21, 2008.

Otterbein Art Lecturer Receives 2008 Guggenheim Fellowship
Photographer Fredrik Marsh, a senior lecturer at Otterbein College, is the recipient of a 2008 fellowship by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Marsh is the first Guggenheim Fellow in the history of Otterbein College.

Guggenheim Fellows are appointed on the basis of stellar achievement and exceptional promise for continued accomplishment. Only seven fellowships were granted nationwide in the photography category for 2008. Full story.

Honor roll badge Otterbein Receives Presidential Award
Otterbein College was one of only three colleges and universities nationwide to receive the Presidential Award for General Community Service. Service learning and community service are a long valued tradition at Otterbein. Seventy percent of students engaged in community service activities in 2006 and 2007, with just over 50 percent giving time to efforts that served disadvantaged youth. Details.


Science Building Update
In June 2007, construction began on a $20 million dollar project to renovate and expand Otterbein's current science facility. You can view the work in progress through photos and movies here.
