Service Projects

Westerville students learn about safety during Make-A-Differnce DayThroughout the school year, The Center for Community Engagement hosts several projects that benefit Otterbein's campus and the Westerville community, as well as encourage civic responsibility.

On Make-A-Difference Day in the fall, for example, the CCE works with students from Westerville City Schools to encourage learning, safety and responsibility.

During Homecoming Celebrations at Otterbein, the CCE sponsors service opportunities open to family and friends of the Otterbein community. The CCE also builds floats to participate in Homecoming Parades.

For the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, CCE-sponsored events encourages students to assess community needs and increase their understanding of social-justice issues.

Activities during Earth Week promote preserving and restoring our planet while living a "green" lifestyle.

Operation Otterbein allows the CCE to assist our friends in other parts of the world by sending care packages and other types of aid.
